Finalizando a construção do significado através de métodos visuais

Resumo

A etnografia sociológica ganhou maior aceitação entre os sociólogos devido à sua capacidade de compreender a vida cotidiana em um nível microssocial. O pensamento indutivo desempenha um papel crucial na formulação teórica, pois a recolha de dados leva ao surgimento de hipóteses, destacando ligações com padrões universais. Contudo, a literatura etnográfica tende a concentrar-se mais nas técnicas de observação, negligenciando outros métodos de campo. Para colmatar esta lacuna, este artigo explora a utilização de métodos visuais, como sociogramas e desenhos feitos pelos participantes, num estudo de caso. Essas ferramentas aumentaram a profundidade do significado no processo de pesquisa etnográfica
