The COVID-19 pandemic has placed the urgent need to sustain the pedagogical bond without classroom attendance on the world educational policy agenda. The analysis presented in this article attempts to shed light on the response to educational continuity in Argentina during the COVID-19 pandemic addressing three dimensions: policies, pedagogical strategies and technopedagogical trends involved. The article concludes that most of the experiences were polarised in two strategies, being one the reproduction of face-to-face attendance by videoconference and the other, mostly, tasks by email or WhatsApp. The multiple digital divides and the political controversy over "attendance" left little room for the stability of online or hybrid forms of teaching.
