This article aims to analyse the sense attributed by youths to processes of “subjective blame” to
which they are submitted during the compliance of non - custodial sanctions in a Reference Centre
of Buenos Aires province. In order to accomplish our objective, we will employ a deep - interview
technique with a subsequent discourse analysis from a socio - semiotic approach. Some of the results
encountered allow us to assert that such processes are recognised by youths through two
stages. While in the first one, they are conceived in terms of “psicologeo”, resulting in certain distrust
and discomfort; in the second one, the youths’ rejection mitigates enabling them to believe in
an institutional proposal that promotes distance from crime, moderation and docility.
