Abstract

Suicide is a public health problem but there is still a tendency to silence its incidence, risk factors and repercussions. Suicide in children, although less frequent, exists, and its approach requires a reflection on the relevance of introducing the concepts of death and suicide in this population. The author defends the introduction of these aspects within a resilience-oriented education, given the preventive effect that promotion of health and learning of coping skills can have on vulnerable children.
